WEMS recently received accolades for their safety performance from the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation at a recent Ross County Safety Council meeting.

WEMS received the Group Award for the employer with the lowest incident rate in their group and the 100% Award for working the entire calendar year (2011) without a lost work day case. WEMS also received a “Special Award” from the state of Ohio in recognition for working over 500,000 hours without a lost work day case.

The awards were presented by Sue Davis the Director of Employee Safety and Health for the Division of Safety and Hygiene. Accepting the awards for WEMS were USW Safety Representative Mike Horton, Sr. Safety Engineer Marsha Bevins, and Project Manager Damon Detillion.
